Automotive Window Tinting

Car window tinting is much more popular in those areas where the temperature generally is too hot like Florida. Perhaps some of the persons get their car’s window tinted for the cosmetic reason but the primary reason for the car’s window tinting is to protect the cars interior from the harmful rays of sunlight. Window tint also helps maintain the vehicle’s inside temperature, keeping the car cool and comfortable as well as improving the driving experience. Before we move further let’s have a brief glance about the window film’s composition. The car’s window film is generally made of a polyester strip on which a smooth and thin layer of certain substances is applied in order to provide a shade in the film. These substances are generally consists of different types of dyes and in some cases metals are also used. This thin layer of the substance is adhered to the polyester film with strong glue in order to make the thin much more effective and strong enough to last for long time.
One of the most myths about the windows tinting is that the cars windows tinting can make you’re driving very difficult in night. It can happen only if the person does not apply the tinting films in proper way such as applying the dark limousine tints on every window of car. Today, the government has made certain laws in order to get the proper benefit of window tinting. In Florida the tinting in the vehicles is allowed only to the rear windows. In addition to this one more thing which is very important to keep in mind is that, the car’s window tinting is done to reduce the glares not for people to show off.
Another big legend about the car window tint is that it is applied on the outside of the glass but that’s not the reality. If the tint is applied on the outside surface of the glass, the film will get damaged by the outer harsh elements such as mud, smoke or anything else which is not good for driving hence in that the film may become useless by frequent damaging. Now we will get into the functioning of the window tints. Normal windows which are not tinted reflect just little amount of light such as 5% and transmit the 90% light inside the car and remaining 5% light is absorbed by the glass but on the other hand the tinted window reflect as much as 30% of the light outside of the vehicle hence making the vehicle cooler from inside. It is always said that the tint film to be applied on the car’s window should be of great quality. Since the amount of the heat and UV rays to be blocked totally depends upon the quality of the tint films.!
